What Is 2005 Census Survey & Why Is It Important?

Census 2005When the state of Arizona collects money through taxes and other sources, it returns some of it to cities and towns to help pay for valuable services. The amount of money each city or town receives is based on its population. That is why we need the most accurate count possible, and that is where you come in.

By taking just a few minutes of your time, you will be helping your City receive the funding necessary for many city services you rely on to keep you safe and healthy–services such as police and fire protection, water and sewer services, properly maintained streets, and even garbage pickup.

Because this is a survey and not a door-to-door count, only a sample of addresses are selected at random for the survey. By being chosen, you have a unique opportunity to represent your neighborhood and help your City receive its fair share of funding.

The questions are easy and all answers are strictly confidential. Please spare a few minutes of your time and help us to receive the most accurate count of our population. Remember, we count on you!
