The Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) is requesting proposals from qualified consultants to undertake a 2002 MAG Regional Traffic Volume Survey. The purpose of the study is to collect traffic volume data on arterial locations specified in the RFP in the MAG urbanized area. The traffic counts collected in this survey along with available counts from MAG member agencies will be used to create a count database and traffic count map. The estimated time frame for this project is 9 months from the date of the notice to proceed and the cost is not to exceed $80,000.

MAG High Capacity
Transit Plan
The Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) is requesting proposals from qualified consultants to create a high capacity transit system plan. The study will address the feasibility of commuter rail along existing rail corridors, develop a regional commuter rail implementation plan, identify other high capacity alternatives for existing rail corridors where commuter rail is not feasible, and identify new high capacity transit corridors. The estimated time frame for this project is 12 months from the date of the notice to proceed at a cost not to exceed $500,000. Maricopa Regional Homeless Management Information System Planning
Project
The Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) is requesting a Statement of Qualifications from interested parties to contract with MAG to design and develop an implementation plan for a countywide Homeless Management Information System. The estimated time frame for the project is approximately 8 months, ending June 30, 2002. MAG Southwest
and Northwest Area Transportation Studies
The Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) is requesting proposals for two area transportation studies, to be conducted separately for: (1) the Southwest Maricopa region, which includes Avondale, Buckeye, Gila Bend, Goodyear, Litchfield Park and Tolleson, and (2) the northwest Maricopa region, which includes Buckeye, El Mirage, Glendale, Peoria, Surprise, Wickenburg and Youngtown. Unincorporated portions of Maricopa County within these areas are also to be addressed in the studies. The specific study areas will be finalized at the beginning of each study.
Each study will be completed in a maximum nine months at a cost not to exceed $250,000, or $500,000 total. Each study will be conducted and contracted for individually. A consultant may submit proposals for either or both studies. Copies of both RFPs may be downloaded below.
All proposals must be delivered by 1:30 p.m., Thursday, July 26, 2001 to the MAG Office at 302 North First Avenue, Suite 300, Phoenix, Arizona, 85003. Opening of the proposals is scheduled for 2 p.m. in the second floor Ocotillo Room at the same address.
A pre-proposal conference will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, July 13, 2001 in the Saguaro Room at the MAG Offices. Interviews if needed will be conducted in the same location on August 14, 2001 for the southwest study, and August 16, 2001 for the northwest study.

Southeast Maricopa/Northern
Pinal County Area Transportation Study RFP
The Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) in cooperation with the Central Arizona Association of Governments (CAAG) and the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is requesting proposals for an area transportation study for the Southeast Maricopa / Northern Pinal County region, which includes Apache Junction, Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Queen Creek, and unincorporated portions of Maricopa and Pinal Counties. The specific study area will be finalized at the beginning of the project.
The study will be completed in a maximum of nine months at a cost not to exceed $300,000. A copy of the RFP may be downloaded from the link below. All proposals must be delivered by 1:30 p.m., Monday, August 6, 2001 to the MAG Office at 302 North First Avenue, Suite 300, Phoenix, Arizona, 85003. Feasibility Study Request for Qualifications
The Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) is issuing a request for qualifications from qualified applicants to conduct a feasibility study for broadcasting monthly MAG Regional Council meetings on city cable channels. The successful applicant must have a working knowledge of broadcast technology and be able to conduct research into staffing, feasibility, equipment and construction costs. Scenarios researched would range from working with existing city cable channels to developing in-house production methods.

Mobility Study Request for Proposals
The Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) is requesting proposals for an East/West Mobility Study for the central-north/northwest area of the metropolitan region to address existing mobility constraints. The study will identify road improvements to improve east/west traffic flow. The project will be completed in a maximum nine months at a cost not to exceed $170,000. All proposals must be delivered by 1:30 p.m. (MST), June 5, 2001 to the MAG Office at 302 North First Avenue, Suite 300, Phoenix, Arizona, 85003. A pre-proposal conference will be held at 9:00 a.m. on May 24, 2001 in the Ocotillo Room at the MAG Offices. Firms will be notified one week in advance of interviews, if needed.

MAG also requires assessment of the 29 site Regional Videoconferencing System and completion of all installation, service, support, testing and training as necessary to ensure a successful system implementation.
